You may not have heard, but social media is changing the music industry. Video-friendly platforms, like TikTok and Instagram, in particular change the way that new artists put out music, build a following, and get signed to labels.
One new music trend I have loved lately is the number of songs and song snippets devoted to spirituality, personal growth, manifestation, and affirmations. I started compiling a playlist and noticed that most of these songs are by women and have a feminine flair to them. I’ve been listening to these songs every day, and — woo or not — they really do elevate my mood.
